Making Memories

I so enjoyed my day today.  I received such a blessing in Sunday School, as I always do.  My lesson was a continuation from last Sunday's lesson where Ruth went with Naomi to Bethlehem and when they got there it was time to harvest the fields and they didn't have any money or food or a job, so they would pick up the left over grain that the farmers would drop along the way and they would make bread with it and Boaz made sure that Ruth had something to drink and something to eat.  I was explaining to the kids that we should obey our parents and do things to help others and one little girl told me that she was a good girl and she took her medicine like her daddy told her to.  They are so sweet.  Then on to church services where I enjoyed the message of the cross.  After church we went to eat at McAllister's.  I love their broccoli soup.  On our way home we stopped at a little fruit stand and got some pumpkins and mums.  Kaitlyn drew on the pumpkin for me and then I carved out what she drew.  She dug out all the guts.

While we were carving our pumpkin, daddy had went hunting.  We heard a shot and I told the girls I bet daddy hot shot a deer.  Then a few minutes later the phone rang and I answered and said "you got a deer didn't you?"  He told me yes he had and could I help him load it?  I was kind of excited that he asked me to do this.  We have been married 10 years and dated 6 1/2 years before we married, and I have never helped him load a deer.  So we finished up our pumpkin carving and took the girls up to my in-laws and we go to get the deer.  It was heavy!!!  When we picked him up, it sounded like he grunted at us and it like to have scared me to death.  My husband says that was just some air that was left in his lungs.  Then on our way out of the woods, I told my husband I wanted on the front of the 4-wheeler that way I didn't have to sit close to the deer, so I had to drive out and we came around a sharp corner and I hit a big stob and busted the tire.  I felt so bad and figured he would never take me with him again.  He wasn't mad at me though.

Here is our finished pumpkin.  Please don't laugh!!

Here is the end to my "exciting" day!!  I so enjoyed my day with my family and the memories we made.
