Over the last few weeks, I have noticed that my oldest daughter is not a little girl anymore and it makes me sad. She is growing up way too fast. She doesn't have those "little girl" features anymore. She likes to put on a little lip gloss and she does such a good job of it and then she looks even older. I know you should be happy that your children are growing and learning new things, but it just makes me sad. I really notice it in these pictures. This is her third year to play softball. So here are all of her pictures from the last three years.
2008 T-ball
2009 First year of 8 and under league.
2010 2nd year of 8 and under league.
My dearest Kaitlyn, you have made me so proud. I love you more than you will ever know. You have turned out to be one heck of a ball player. Keep up the good work and always put God first in your life.
LORI

AS the mother of 5 who are 22, 19, and 16 I can tell you that the years go by faster then you could possibly imagine. Enjoy every minute. Don't waste time being sad now...wait till they are really old and then be sad. For now, just enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteBoth your daughters are lovely. They do literally change before your eyes.
ReplyDeleteLori.. I know exactly how your feel. I look at pictures of my daughter and I can't believe how much she has changed from year to year. She is not into makeup at all.. the only thing she does own is clear lipgloss, and she doesn't even wear that. I want to keep it that way as long as possible. She does however like to smell good.. lol.. so we frequent Bath and Body works a lot.
It is so cliché but so true - they do grow up too fast! I really noticed it in your daughter after you came back from your little blogging break. It seemed like she just grew up over night. It is truly bittersweet because we want to hang on to them forever!!
ReplyDeleteit is fun to watch children grow and learn. and knowing that you are doing the best to help her grow strong in all areas of life... now that is the true blessing
ReplyDelete*Sigh*...I'm with you. They do grow up so fast!
ReplyDeleteIn the blink of an eye..thats what they always told me. I didnt believe it til I had my own children. Oh how true that expression is..they will be grown in the blink of an eye...Beautiful young lady you have there ; )
ReplyDelete"Don't Blink" Love that song, I think its Kenny Chesney that sings it.
Have a great Tuesday!
Looking at all three of those pictures, I can tell she has really changed. She is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThey do grow up in the blink of an eye- It seems like only yesterday you were telling us you were pregnant with her!! Enjoy every minute!!
ReplyDeleteI love that you have these pictures to compare the growth. How fun. She does look like a little soft ball player. Love it. Great job Kaitlyn.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful family. So thankful that my own family's journey can help others. Hang in there, as the mother of girls, there will be plenty of drama ahead of you, but God is so very good. He promises not to give us more than we can handle. :)
