Favorite Foto Friday

It is Friday, thank goodness!!  I am participating in FFF.  If you would like to join in the fun, just join Hannah over at Me-Me and Monkey's BIG Adventure.  This week is U-Pick.

Last weekend was very, very busy for us.  As I told you in my earlier post, one of my brothers will be leaving next Thursday for Afghanistan.  He didn't think he was going to be able to come home before being deployed, but at the last minute he contacted me via FB to let me know he was coming in.  So I made plans last Friday to go see him on Saturday and then on Sunday we had a birthday party and while we were at the birthday party, my husband took my mother-in-law to the hospital because she was having chest pains.  So it was a busy, busy weekend.  So I thought I would share some of the photos from last weekend for today.  I hope you enjoy!!
My brother was going to visit his two boys while in town and he had gotten a book called Over There and it talks about the same things that he will be doing while he is gone that we do over here.  It was a really neat book and he was reading it to Kenleigh.  So sweet!!

My daddy and brother Jason.
Here we all are laughing pretty hard about something??  Anyways:  Daddy, Jason, Kenleigh, Kaitlyn, Me and my Aunt Pam.

Here is Jason with his wife Jamie.
Please say a special prayer for her.  I can't imagine what she must be going through.  My husband has never been away from me except for a few nights here and there.
Now on to Sunday........Here are all the guests from the double birthday party.  This slide was a hit!!  The kids absolutely loved it, except Kenleigh.  I think she was just a little too small for it.  She came down really, really fast and then hit the water face first and got water all in her eyes.  So she spent most of her time either here:

In this little playhouse where she could open and shut the door, or on the trampoline below.  I was wore out by the end of the day because I had to take her around to three different places.  She thought she wanted to get on the slide, so I would put her in and then she decided she didn't want in there.  What we do for our children!!
Happy 6th Birthday to Cloyee and Reece!!

These were the kids that were left after the party and they played on the slide forever!!  Reece and Cloyee, Zoei, Karlie and Kaitlyn.

Here is Gavin and Kenleigh.  I think she has found her a little boyfriend.  They played in the little house together and now they are eating out of their goody bags!!

I hope everyone has a very Happy 4th!!

Shoot Me 4 of 52

Forever In Blue Jeans

I am a little late getting this post on but it has been a busy, busy week!!  As I told you in my Music Monday post, me and my BFF were going out for my birthday dinner on Monday night and we did and we had a great time.  It is a tradition that we always go to Colton's for my birthday in May and her birthday in December and we eat together, visit and exchange gifts.  I always looks forward to this time together.

I took this picture and I feel like I look like awful.  I am squinting my eyes, but oh well.  I had a great time.

My favorite scent used to be, like 11 years ago, was Vanilla Lace from Victoria's Secret and they discontinued it a long time ago.  Well, my BFF Kim found it!!  Oh, I was so excited when I opened this gift.  Thanks Kim, you are the best!!

Also, a gift card to Penney's.  Yay!!  Thanks Kim for making my birthday so special.  You are the greatest!!  Love ya!!

I am joining Carin over at Forever in Blue Jeans for this every Thursday blog carnival.

Shoot Me! It's time to stop hiding behind that camera of yours. Your family is missing you in the picture. So it's time to post a picture of YOU (yes, you) every Thursday with your child, your spouse, your friend, your dog, or even by yourself. Just get in the picture, you'll be glad you did! And just jump in now with 1 of 52, you can do it!

Music Monday

Photobucket

Today is Music Monday and I am joining Tara over at Keeping Up With The Kelly's.  I hope everyone had a great weekend.  I got some much needed cleaning done around my house.  If you read my post from last week about my holiday weekend then you know that my dad came to visit me for my birthday.  My mom and dad divorced when I was almost 2.  We didn't have a very good relationship growing up.  He was an alcoholic.  About 4 years ago he admitted himself to a Christian Rehab and has been alcohol free for that long as well.  I am so proud of him.  We see each other occasionally and I am thankful he has changed his life and I am also thankful that I have forgiven him of the past and that we can move forward in our relationship.  Although we still don't know each other just real well and I don't always know what to say around him, I pray the Lord will keep us together as often as possible that way we can get to know each other better.

My mom took me to eat at IHOP on Saturday as a late birthday present.  The IHOP that we eat at always has the music going a little loud, which doesn't bother me any.  This song came on and my mom told me it was her and my daddy's song when they were dating.  I said then, this will have to be my Music Monday post.  When my dad was here last weekend, my mom and dad had road to town together and I was grilling burgers.  I asked my husband if we should wait on mom and daddy to get back before we ate.  I then said, I never thought I would be saying that.  I am just glad they get along, and it never hurts, even at 33 to wish that your parents would get back together now does it?

I hope everybody has a great week. We have a busy one.  Me and my BFF are going out tonight for my birthday dinner.  My husband says I drag my birthday out for a month!!  Tuesday and Thursday are softball games and Wednesday is Bible study.

Memorial Weekend Finale

memorial day image Pictures, Images and Photos

What a weekend.  I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful group of family and friends.  I hope and pray everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend.  Today was my birthday and I received such a blessed birthday!!  First we went to a cookout at my dear friend Steven and Shannon's.  They surprised me with a birthday cake and made me tear up.  I didn't realize I was loved by so many people.  When I got home, I had over 100 messages on facebook from friends wishing me a happy birthday.  This evening we went to another cookout at some friends from church's house.  They had a slip-n-slide set up and and the kids had a blast.  Kenleigh fell in the mud, but it didn't bother her any.  I just want to thank everybody for making my birthday and this holiday weekend so wonderful.  God has truly blessed me and my family!!

Memorial Weekend Part I

Memorial Day Pictures, Images and Photos

I am so blessed this weekend to be surrounded by such wonderful friends and family.  Yesterday was my mother-in-laws birthday and tomorrow is my birthday.  My dad and my aunt lives about 2 hours away and I wanted to see them this weekend but I really didn't want to drive over there, so I invited them over for a cookout and invited my in-laws and my mom.  We had a wonderful day.  My husband and father-in-law took my dad driving around doing the "man thing" because if your guys are anything like my guys, they can't sit still for very long.  My aunt brought me a wonderful cake and ice cream and we had hamburgers, hot dogs and rotel dip, yummy, yummy!!  We have been invited to two more cookouts tomorrow.  So I am really looking forward to those.  I hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial weekend.  Don't forget what Memorial Day is all about and those who fought for our freedom.

Here is the spread we had yesterday.  Chips, rotel, and grilled burgers and hot dogs!!

Here is Kaitlyn and Kenleigh with their patriotic t-shirts and me and my mother-in-law!!  The birthday girls.

This is my father-in-law and husband on my in-laws' new golf cart.     This is my cake that my wonderful aunt Pam brought me.  It was a marble cake and it was so good with blue bell homemade vanilla ice cream!!  Unfortunately, I gained 1.5 pounds this last week at Weight Watchers.  I promise I will do better this next week.  Who can pass up all this wonderful food??

Me with my cake.
