For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotton son, that whosoever shall believeth in him, should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Head over to Lynnette's blog and link up to meet new blog friends and get to know them better!  I learned how to post links to other peoples blogs today from my dear friend Tisha over at Crazy Working Mom.  Thanks Tisha!!

Don't think so, I like my privacy.

HELP!!!

Ok, I am calling on all your mothers for your HELP!! I know what you are thinking, how sweet and innocent and cute this little girl is. Well, she is but I have a big problem on my hands. She will be 3 in March and we are still not potty trained!!! I have tried everything. Every time I try to put her on the potty, she cries, (except for this time above)!!! I have praised her when she goes and practically act like a idiot when she goes in the potty. I give her a M & M's when she goes. She just doesn't want to take the time out to go when we are at home mostly. When we are out like at church or out to eat she will go just because she don't want to sit still, she wants to be on the go, so I guess getting to go to the bathroom is like an exciting part of her trip. Who knows?? I can tell you that I think this is all her daddy's fault. Although if he knew I was writing about him, he would absolutely die!! So please don't tell him, but let me tell you why I think this. He used to do the exact same thing she does per my mother-in-law. He would come to my mother-in-law and say, I need you to change me! Well she does the same thing. She knows when she is going. She will come to me and tell me I need to change her. That is just crazy, in my opinion. I have put her in time out, made her stand in the corner and have spanked her for this, although I know some of you are going to think that is terrible, but I just feel she is being stubborn. Also, my husband could count how many diapers he had left and would shout out the window to my mother-in-law, You better get me some more pampers, I only have 4 left!!! So now you see why I think this is all my husband's fault and I know some of you are going to read this and have a big time laugh about it and that is okay, I guess, but I seriously need your help. She is supposed to start preschool next year and if she is not potty trained then she can't go and she thinks because she got to go to Bible School back in the summer, that they will surely let her go to preschool. So I am begging you mothers that have more experience in this department than I do, because it was a lot easier with my first child, to PLEASE HELP ME!!

Favorite Foto Friday

Today's FFF theme is adventure.  Well, I don't know that you would really call this an adventure but, here is what I got.  Oh, if you would like to participate join Me-Me and Monkey's Big Adventure by clicking on the button above.  Last week was Homecoming.  Tonight was the first home game and so the school had a big pep rally before school was out and Kaitlyn begged me to come, so I couldn't say no.  So Kenleigh and I went.  It was the first pep rally I had ever been to at Bradford.  All Bradford has is basketball.  I went to school at Bald Knob and they have football and so I went to lots of pep rally's there.  It was pretty neat.  Last week was homecoming, so they had homecoming again today.  The guys dressed up as girls and the girl ballplayers escorted out the ballplayers that were dressed up like girls.  Then each grade got to perform a cheer.  It was really neat to see what the boys and girls had been working on all week.  Then they voted to see who did the best cheer and the 5th grade won.  The drama club performed, the band played.  It was really exciting and Kenleigh had a blast.

Here is Kaitlyn and Abreanna with Ms. Angela.  Kaitlyn's teacher, Ms. Tommie Sue has been out this week.

Kenleigh had a blast.  She clapped and cheered!!

Life Preserver Pictures, Images and PhotosTonight my devotion for my Sparkies is going to be entitled "The Life Saver" and I will be telling them how when we go out in a boat we should wear a life jacket and how it would be foolish if we didn't wear one.  In comparison to that we cannot make it through life without Jesus.  It is foolish to think that we can make it through life without Him.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotton son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

Music Monday

I have decided to participate in Music Monday.  I love music and the way that it can be therapeutic in our lives.  If you read my "FFF" post then you will remember me talking about a little girl that was killed in a tragic accident two weeks before school started and she would have been in the 7th grade and how this reminded me of when I was in the 7th grade one of my classmates was killed in a tragic accident and how devastating that was but now that I am a mother, it takes on a totally different meaning.  I cannot imagine losing a child.  Our priorities and prayers and wishes change once we have a "family" and so this song reminds me of that.

Making Memories

I so enjoyed my day today.  I received such a blessing in Sunday School, as I always do.  My lesson was a continuation from last Sunday's lesson where Ruth went with Naomi to Bethlehem and when they got there it was time to harvest the fields and they didn't have any money or food or a job, so they would pick up the left over grain that the farmers would drop along the way and they would make bread with it and Boaz made sure that Ruth had something to drink and something to eat.  I was explaining to the kids that we should obey our parents and do things to help others and one little girl told me that she was a good girl and she took her medicine like her daddy told her to.  They are so sweet.  Then on to church services where I enjoyed the message of the cross.  After church we went to eat at McAllister's.  I love their broccoli soup.  On our way home we stopped at a little fruit stand and got some pumpkins and mums.  Kaitlyn drew on the pumpkin for me and then I carved out what she drew.  She dug out all the guts.

While we were carving our pumpkin, daddy had went hunting.  We heard a shot and I told the girls I bet daddy hot shot a deer.  Then a few minutes later the phone rang and I answered and said "you got a deer didn't you?"  He told me yes he had and could I help him load it?  I was kind of excited that he asked me to do this.  We have been married 10 years and dated 6 1/2 years before we married, and I have never helped him load a deer.  So we finished up our pumpkin carving and took the girls up to my in-laws and we go to get the deer.  It was heavy!!!  When we picked him up, it sounded like he grunted at us and it like to have scared me to death.  My husband says that was just some air that was left in his lungs.  Then on our way out of the woods, I told my husband I wanted on the front of the 4-wheeler that way I didn't have to sit close to the deer, so I had to drive out and we came around a sharp corner and I hit a big stob and busted the tire.  I felt so bad and figured he would never take me with him again.  He wasn't mad at me though.

Here is our finished pumpkin.  Please don't laugh!!

Here is the end to my "exciting" day!!  I so enjoyed my day with my family and the memories we made.

Favorite Foto Friday

I decided to participate in "Favorite Foto Friday" because today's photo is supposed to be orange and today just happens to be our schools homecoming.  Our colors are black and orange.  This has been spirit week and I have blogged about everyday except yesterday.  So I will combine yesterday and today together.  Yesterday was crazy hat/shades day.  Kaitlyn wore Kenleigh's hat that my grandmother had got her for Christmas a couple of years ago and Kenleigh cried.  She didn't want Kaitlyn wearing it.

Ok, so now on to "Favorite Foto Friday" Orange.  Today was Black/Orange day and tonight was homecoming.  There were lots of girls that we knew that were in homecoming including family and some girls that we go to church with and their daddy's escorted them and then they had a ball player take over and escort them the rest of the way.  Kaitlyn and I wore our "Riley" shirts to today.  The week before school started there was a little girl about to start 7th grade and was in a tragic accident.  So the school has started a scholarship fund in her name and these shirts were designed to help fund this scholarship.  The 7th grade class made a shadow box with her jersey and some pictures in it to be displayed in the gym. This reminds me of when I was in the 7th grade and one of my classmates was in a tragic accident and this was devastating but now that I am a mother, I feel totally different about it.  Please pray for this family.  I cannot imagine.

Kaitlyn and I before the game.  This gave us some time together since Kenleigh has been sick and we didn't want to take her to the game.  Her and her daddy had "movie night".  Kaitlyn has been jealous of Kenleigh, so we needed some just "me and Kaitlyn" time.

Kaitlyn with her friends Karsyn and Turner

Here is Daniel, our cousin.

Becca, Loren and Darsy, our cousin.

Here is Kaitlyn and Becca.  This is our preachers daughter and she also babysat for us this summer, so she is kind of special to us.

Here is our cousin Sarah.  She looks so pretty.  All the homecoming court looked so pretty.

Thankful Thursday

Thankful Thursday at Truth 4 the Journey

Ok, I said earlier in the week that I only had time to participate in one "meme."  Well, a girl can change her mind can't she?  So I have decided to participate in "Thankful Thursdays."

Here are my 5 things for this week:

1.  I am thankful that God sent his son to die on the cross for my sins!!  WOW!!

2.  I am thankful that I decided to take Kenleigh to the doctor this week.

3.  I am thankful for Tamiflu.

4.  I am thankful for everyone who has prayed for Kenleigh this week.  My mother sent me an e-mail this morning that said the last time she looked at the clock last night it was after 1:00 a.m.  She was so worried about Kenleigh and spent a long time praying for her.  I believe in the power of prayer and am thankful that we can talk to God anytime.

5.  I am thankful for my family.  God has truly blessed me.

The Taste of Fall

I found this in the grocery store the other day.  I am a sucker for new coffee flavors.  When my grandmother was living and I would go to her house she would always have a variety of "General Food International Coffee" sitting out on the counter with the coffee pot plugged up and full of hot water.  I miss her so much.  She would have loved this new flavor.  Pumpkin Spice Latte.  In loving memory of Grandma Young.

Spirt Week

Pajama Day

It seems Kenleigh has been getting all the "blog space" here lately.  Today was pajama day at school.  Kaitlyn had lots of different pajamas to pick from:  Hannan Montanna, High School Musical, etc.  She chose these High School Musical ones.  You can't see them very well.  She fixed her own hair too.  It is kind of sad that she is growing up so fast and getting so independnet.  Tomorrow is crazy hat/crazy shades day.

Swine Flu

I will not be attending church tonight due to my 2 1/2 year old has been diagnosed with the swine flu.  It was pretty scary when the words came out of the doctors mouth but he said we caught it early and that was good because the Tamiflu would take care of it.  She started out running fever and then watery eyes and runny nose.  Her ears and throat were clear so he said she had the classic symptoms.  He didn't actually test her for it but is just treating her for the symptoms.  I just hope and pray that she is well soon and that the rest of the family does not contract this.  If you or any of your family members start experiencing symptoms get to the doctor immediately.  We have a wonderful pediatrician who took the time to answer all my questions as I was very concerned and they were so busy.  I am sitting here with her now as she sleeps and she is the sweetest thing.  She is holding onto my arm.

Word Filled Wednesday

Word Filled Wednesdays Pictures, Images and Photos

As one of my last posts states, I am a new blogger and have been doing some blog hopping and have noticed all the daily memes. I love them, but really don't have time to participate in all of them, but thought I would pick Word Filled Wednesday because I work with the Kindergarten Sparks AWANA group at our church on Wednesday nights. I have to give a devotion every week so I thought this would be a good day to participate. I hope I am doing this correctly. If I need to do something differently, somebody please give me a shout out. Thanks!

Tonight I will be telling my kids how we speak to God through prayer and how we should pray and who we should pray for.

Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Spirt Week

Friday is our schools homecoming, so we are celebrating spirit week. Monday was camouflage day. My very best friend, Angela had a meeting that she had to attend so she had asked me to take her kids to school this day. So I got a picture of all the kids even though Kaitlyn and Dakota were the only ones with camo on.

Today was crazy hair day. So we put Kaitlyn's hair in lots of pony tails and colored it purple and blue!! Of course Kenleigh had to get in the picture too although she is not in school yet.

Stay tuned for the rest of the week: Wednesday is pajama day, Thursday is crazy hat and shades day and Friday is black and orange day.

New Blogger

Thank You Pictures, Images and Photos

I just want to thank everybody for following my blog. I am new to this but I am totally addicted. I used to be addicted to facebook, but this is just awesome. I love blog hopping and reading about everybody's comments. I also want to personally thank Tisha for helping me get my "traffic" up. I am up to 7 followers now!! Woo hoo!! I get so excited every time I see I have a new follower. I don't have a lot of information on my profile but I am an in-home medical transcriptionist and it was really hard for me to adjust to this, but I love it now. I have been doing this for a little over 2 years. I worked in a doctors office for 7 1/2 years as a medical transcriptionst but a new administrator came in and decided to outsource the transcriptionists. I was devastated because I was so used to getting out of the house everyday, plus this happened while I was on maternity leave with my second child. But I know that everything happens for a reason and God has truly blessed me with a wonderful family and to be able to work out of my home and to spend more time with my kids. Thanks to all of you for visiting and I hope that you come back soon.

Happy Birthday Lacey

Yesterday was my favorite nieces birthday, Lacey. She turned 14!! Where has the time gone. I will never forget all the memories I have of her and hope to have many, many more. She was the first grandchild. The house that my husband and I live in now was his grandparents and I can remember when she was just a baby I was holding her in my arms feeding her and my husband's grandmother told me how natural I looked holding her. I will never forget this or all the other memories. She is such a blessing. My girls are crazy about her and look to her as a big sister.

Here is Lacey at my wedding 10 years ago. She was my flower girl and she was so beautiful!! I am so thankful for her and also thankful to know that she is a child of God. She has a beautiful voice.

Here is Lacey with her cake. We had cake and ice cream at granny and papaw's.

My oldest daughter, Kaitlyn received a Taylor Swift CD last year for her birthday. As I was listening to this CD one day there was a song that I came to that automatically reminded me of Lacey. It is called "The Best Day." I immediately called her mother and told her that she had to hear this song.
You might want to get a tissue!!
