For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotton son, that whosoever shall believeth in him, should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

I Have Had The Time Of My Life

Patrick Swayze Pictures, Images and Photos

Patrick Swayze passed away last week from pancreatic cancer and so of course I had to drag out the Dirty Dancing movie that my mom got me for Christmas one year when Kenny and I first married and I think I drove him crazy with watching it all the time. I could watch it 100 more times. I love that movie. The movie was made in 1987. So I was 10 years old and I could quote you the movie. "Nobody puts Baby in a corner." My friends and I used to watch this movie all the time.

I saw the interview that Barbara Walters did with him and his wife back at the beginning of the year and admired the relationship that him and his wife had. They had been together since she was 16. That is just amazing to me. He fought a long fight. He will definitely be missed.

AWANA

AWANA Pictures, Images and Photos

I had one addition to my Sparks group tonight. It blesses my heart to have kids come to learn about the word of God. I am now up to 12 little Sparkies. It is so neat hearing kids recite God's word to you.

Kaitlyn will be learning the books of the New Testament next time we meet, which will be two weeks from tonight because we will be in revival next week.

Kenleigh LOVES puggles. Every Wednesday night she says something about her platypus shirt because that is what a Puggle is, a baby platypus. She learned tonight that God made the sky. I am so excited to see her learn about God's word. She calls it Bible School because she went to Bible School back in the summer and enjoyed it so much so now everytime we go to church she thinks she is going to Bible School. I just think that is so sweet. She loves Ms. Deborah.

First Day of Fall

Fall Pictures, Images and Photos
I am so excited about tomorrow being the first day of Fall. This is my favorite time of year. I love the colors of the leaves and I love to drive up to Branson, Missouri although I probably won't get to go this year, but it is always so pretty driving up that way or to Mt. Magazine. I enjoy the cool weather, the smell of cinnamon and pumpkin and I love to decorate my yard with hay, pumpkins and mum

Dancing With The Stars

Dancing with the Stars Pictures, Images and Photos

Tonight is the premiere of Dancing with the Stars. Me and my family love this show. I get so tickled at both my girls. They both like to dance in the middle of the living room floor trying to do exactly what the professionals do. We have been watching this show since it began and Kaitlyn has always danced every since she was old enough to and now Kenleigh is doing the same thing, so now Kaitlyn has someone to dance with.

Happy Birthday!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!

We celebrated my moms 53rd birthday this weekend at our favorite Italian restaurant, Carino's in Little Rock. Her best friend Lori went with us. We went to our favorite store Target after wards. I love this time of year. It is time for fall and we always get Kaitlyn a Halloween costume on our Target trip. She is going to be a 50's girl this year.

10 Years

Kenny and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary Sept. 4. I cannot believe it has already been 10 years. We have actually been together for 16 years. We started dating when I was 15. We went to Mt. View last month to celebrate and of course we took our kids with us. We enjoy Pinewood Cabins right off the square in Mt. View. Kaitlyn got to drive a go-cart for the first time and she actually did pretty good. Kenleigh enjoyed dancing at the White River Hoedown.

Another Great Man

After the death of my husband's grandpa, I was also reminded of when my Papaw passed away. Jerry Talmadge Perryman. He passed away March 8, 2005. What is so ironic is that Kaitlyn was 2 1/2 when he passed away as was Kenleigh when Pa passed away. Kaitlyn was close to her Papaw and I remember worrying how I was going to explain this to her and now I find myself in the same situation again. Just strange how life turns out sometimes. My Papaw helped to raise me and wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for him and my Mimi. We had "Daddy's Hand's" played at his funeral and every year on Father's Day, Carlene always sings this song. I always look forward to hearing her sing this song every year.

My Little Puggle/Sparky

My camera is not working so I don't have any pictures for this blog which is really driving me crazy but anyways I still had to share what my kids learned tonight at AWANA. Kenleigh is in a new program called "Puggles". She learned tonight that God made her. Kaitlyn is in Sparks and she learned that God loves everybody, not just one person. How sweet is that. Out of the mouths of babes. This is the first year that I have worked in AWANA that I have not had one of my own children but I am still enjoying it. I love that I can teach other kids about Jesus and I know that my kids are in good hands. This is the first year that Kenleigh has got to come to AWANA and she is so excited out it. Her little Puggles shirt came in today and she was so excited to wear it. That just blesses my heart. One of the children I worked with tonight could say John 3:16 without any help. That is just a true blessing to me.

A Great Man

Kenny and I with Ma and Pa at our wedding Sept. 4, 1999

We lost my husband's grandpa last week, "Pa", as everybody knows him. He passed away September 2. Looking back, this was one of the sweetest men I have every known. He was 84. His birthday was March 9. I had scheduled my c-section when I had Kenleigh on his birthday. She decided she wanted her own birthday and came 4 days earlier. She was crazy about her Pa. It has been hard because she will ask where he is and she is just too young to understand. We tell her he is in heaven with Jesus. He always had a pocket full of tootsie rolls and was always ready to hand them out to the kids. He also loved catfish. So every time I see tootsie rolls or catfish I will think of Pa. I know he is in a much better place but it is still hard to lose a loved one.
